The other day I sat outside and watched a honeybee work diligently to collect pollen from a single flower. It spent 10-20 seconds on just one blossom. The sun was setting as I watched her, but before the day was done she would have made 12 or more trips from the hive and visited several thousand flowers—a regular day's work! It amazes me to think that with all that effort, a single honeybee will produce just 1/12 of a teaspoon of honey in its lifetime. Wow. Thank you little bee! I also owe a huge debt of gratitude to these humble buzzing insects for the fruits, vegetables, and beautiful flowers I enjoy so much. But beyond those things, honeybees are a reminder to me of God's generous nature and His promises of provision and abundance. He not only wants to grant me a life of freedom, he wants to bless me with a life that is overflowing with goodness and sweetness.

What are you grateful for today?
